Less than 10 weeks to go!

I thought the last couple of months of the pregnancy would go super slowly, but maybe they won't, I've been pretty busy lately. Morning sickness is pretty much gone, so life is so much better. I have been getting horrible heartburn at night which has meant staying up late until it goes away. I got some medication which reduces the ph of my stomach acid which has helped, except when I've eaten food that's too acidic or forgotten to take the pills. Aside from that, muscle pains in my bum (sciatic nerve related) and around my tummy give me grief when I walk around more than a little bit. And waking up to pee every 2 hours and pain in my hips from lying on my side. But those are all normal pregnancy complaints, I no longer have a cold so I've been feeling relatively great.

Baby George kicks a lot but mostly when I'm sitting or lying down. So I think he's good.

I've decided to continue breastfeeding Olivia after George is born, if she wants it. She's been asking for it a lot this week, I'm not really sure why, but she's got some teeth coming through so maybe it's that. She got her first tummy bug last week, she'd refused to eat all day but drank formula until I offered her a biscuit and halfway through it she spewed. On my bed and the carpet in my room. Then later again on the freshly changed sheets on the bed and all over her head. She cried more about me washing her hair in the shower. After that I only gave her breast and water and she slept all night, had a couple of small spews in the morning and then ate two pieces of toast at 9am and was fine. 24 hour bug. I didn't catch it, thank goodness! Though I did have morning sickness because I didn't take heartburn pill the night before. Poor old Magnus got to enjoy all the drama, he didn't seem too phased though.

So yes, Magnus stayed with us for 3 weeks and the time disappeared just like that. I tried to take him somewhere every day, but it was all pretty mundane stuff. We went out for lunch a few times, went for dinners at my parents house quite a lot, visited family. The main event was Nick and Mary's wedding, which was great fun and such a cool night. I mean, half of Eskimo Jo were performing awesome live cover songs, it doesn't get any better. And there was a buffet of lollies and cake, complete with lolly bags!

Olivia took a while to warm to Magnus, but was prepared to give him kisses the day before he left again. He played with her quite a lot which she liked. She was a lot clingier with me when he was around, which made it hard to be a good host. He really had to fend for himself a lot of the time. The day before he left I took him to a footy game which he seemed to enjoy. I'm glad he got to experience that!

I'm feeling less daunted by the prospect of having 2 kids when George comes. I think it helps that friends of mine are having triplets about 10 weeks after me, it really puts things in perspective. Actually they will probably have them sooner than 10 weeks after, triplets are never carried to term these days. And they already have one kid. And I've got so much support from my parents. I don't have a job to worry about, I can just take each day as it comes. Jason is a super dad and does so much when he's home every second week, life is good.

Yay, not long now! Is Jason taking some time off when the baby comes?

You're right, having all the support in place makes all the difference, I don't know how I'd've managed without Vicki and Mum. You'll be awesome, just go really easy on yourself.
OMG triplets, I just can't imagine it. My childhood friend Conor has twins and it sounds so hard, but she is doing a great job. I guess you always manage, somehow.

Man, tummy bugs are so much more manageable with breastfeeding babies, and somehow breastmilk vom seems less gross? Sorry, I have just disgusted myself with that comment :) I think pre-baby Olga would have died from the gross.

Glad to hear everything's good, hope the rest goes quickly!
