I should have posted this ages ago.... will backdate it now.
George is now 7 weeks old and I have been slacking on the blog. It's been busy with two kids but really not as bad as I thought it might be.
George is a dream baby, just like Olivia was, but maybe even better. He only cries when he's hungry, and even then, only when he's been kept waiting a long time, and even then it's a pretty quiet little cry. He sleeps a lot and when he's awake he's happy to lie on a pillow and look around or be held and cuddled. He's had a snotty nose and phlegmy throat due to a cold or two, practically since birth, but he has still managed to be a great sleeper and never complains. I guess he doesn't know any different. He is different to Olivia in that he vomits more often. I was getting spewed on every other day but it seems to have lessened a lot in the past couple of weeks, thank goodness. He also poos 4 or 5 times a day, whereas Olivia only pooed once every 4 or 5 days. He is much windier, I think he swallows a lot of air when he drinks. The farts are amazing.
Olivia is really good with him, she gives him lots of cuddles and kisses, but she gets jealous when I feed him. When he has a booby, she wants a booby, and she wants it before him. She doesn't want to wait and will get quite irate, but we give her a bottle and then she's okay. She has become a lot more mummy-centric in the last few months and only wants me to change her nappies, make her bottles, give her a bath and take her to bed but I don't think this is just because George is around, because I have a friend whose son is like that and she doesn't have any other kids. Olivia loves to play with Georgey's earlobes or stroke his head. Just then I had to tell her to stop licking his head.
Olivia is obsessed with a show called Numberjacks at the moment, we have that playing practically all the time, through youtube on the tv. Otherwise it's Thomas and Friends. Today she was singing the thomas theme song: "They're 2, 4, 6 and 8. Something something crawl await. Red, blue, green, brown. They're really useful." So cute. When I put the kids channel on tv she always says "I don't want to watch this, I want numbers."At least it's educational. One day Jason put his xbox on to play games and Olivia said "I want numbers." Jason said "No, I'm sick of numbers," and Olivia angrily replied "My numbers are not sick!"
George has had a stuffy/snotty nose and phlegmy throat for nearly his entire life now. I think he's caught more than one cold from Olivia but it seems to be taking forever to go away. I'm starting to wonder if he's got allergies.

Ah kids' TV. I'm going to have a look at that Numberjacks show. Both Henry and Felix adore Mother Goose Club at the moment, and it definitely wouldn't hurt to have something else to switch to. But on the plus side, at least it's not Barney.
Argh, George is so chubby and adorbable (typo and it stays). I'm so glad Olivia has gotten used to him, loving siblings are the cutest thing ever to happen. Ever.
xx
Lovely photos. :)
